Medical practice for Healing and Natural Health

At The Field Medical Practice we work based on the principles of Integrative Medicine (IM),
The emphasis isn't on a single complaint or simply treating symptoms, but on improving your health and well-being as a whole.

Regular medical knowledge is integrated with knowledge of nutrition, lifestyle, supplementation (functional medicine) and the relationship between body and mind (mind-body medicine).
We aim to identify the underlying cause of complaints and to approach the problem in a solution-oriented manner using natural treatment methods when possible.
If necessary, referrals are also made to qualified complementary practitioners within our network.

Together we will look at your complaints on multiple levels and, in addition to physical complaints, also discuss issues related to work, relationships, enjoyment of life, trauma or meaning.
In this way, we jointly assess where the greatest gains and positive changes can be achieved.
Of course, everyone's emphasis is different.

If you have any questions or uncertainties, please do not hesitate to contact us by email or telephone.

To find health should be the object of the doctor.
Anyone can find disease.

Indications

Within practice The Field, people are treated, not complaints.
In short, you are welcome with all your concerns, questions, symptoms, illnesses and talents.

The starting point is not so much making a diagnosis but rather the analysis of an individual pattern of complaints in relation to who you are, your diet, lifestyle, social factors, trauma and the like.

Perhaps you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Have you been feeling tired for ages without knowing why?

  • Are you not feeling well and would you like to change this?

  • Have you been suffering from complaints for a long time for which you have visited various specialists without satisfactory results?

  • Do you need a more causal approach instead of just treating symptoms?

  • Do you feel that your child is not functioning optimally, both physically and mentally, as is evident, for example, in lagging school performance?

  • Do your complaints fall into the so-called group of unexplained complaints, also known as SOLK?

  • Have you recently been told to 'just learn to live with it'?

  • Are you experiencing side effects from medication and are you looking for ways to optimize your health so that medication can be reduced responsibly?

  • Or..., do you feel reasonably healthy and need tips on how to keep it that way?

Risk factors

When chronic complaints arise, I often use the example of the body as a rain barrel. Over the years, stressful factors accumulate in our bodies (read: the rain barrel fills up more and more) without immediately causing any symptoms. The body is capable of compensating for many things.

Illness occurs when your body/the rain barrel is full. By emptying the barrel illness gives way to health.

Stressful factors include chronic stress, existential issues, emotional trauma, latent infections, inadequate nutrition, unknown food intolerances, environmental toxins such as particulate matter and pesticides, etc.

When these factors accumulate, the total load can become so great that the body can no longer cope (the rain barrel overflows) and complaints or disease arise. The cause of these complaints isn't the last drop that caused the barrel to overflow, but rather the underlying stressors that caused the barrel to be nearly full in the first place.

At medical practice The Field, we focus on analyzing these stressors in your body. Together, we explore how we can relieve the body's burden, but also how we can strengthen it to cope with certain stresses.

Complementary to regular health care

During an intake, we'll decide together which approach is most appropriate. Sometimes, after consultation, you'll be referred to a suitable practitioner within our network.

In other words, we strive for appropriate, personalized care. This includes:
- Specific lifestyle advice
- Individual nutritional advice

- Nutritional supplements (functional medicine)
- Microbiome analysis
- Psycho-emotional guidance and healing interventions

The treatment is intended to complement the care provided by your own general practitioner or medical specialist, but not to replace it. We strive to collaborate and exchange information with your general practitioner or specialist as much as possible.
