End of life care
We want to live as healty and happy as possible, but every life comes to an end. This final phase of life is a profound one, with many facets. During my years in family medicine I've experienced that guidance during this period can truly make a real difference.
As a physician, I enjoy guiding people toward health, and even as the end of life approaches, much healing is often still possible. Healing doesn't necessarily mean healing on a physical level. It's about bringing closure to what remains unfinished, expressing those things that remain unsaid, finding peace within yourself and the life you've lived, letting go of loved ones, surrendering to the process of illness and death, and so much more.
This can be accompanied by a rollercoaster of emotions such as anger, fear and sadness.
During a period of serious illness, I literally had to (or was allowed to) face death. Through complete surrender to the process and acceptance of my own vulnerability as a human being, I healed. It wasn't my time yet, but an invitation to express my authenticity as a person and as a healer without reservation.
Although this phase can be harsh, I'd love to support you in it to make things more bearable. Together, we'll explore your needs, the challenges you're facing, the emotions you're experiencing. Together we explore where healing is still possible and desirable.
My strength lies in the connection from soul to soul and in connection you with your inner power and a power or Source that is greater than ourselves.
In conversation or in silence, with or without music, singing, or meditation.
Whether you have a specific religious belief is certainly relevant, but it is no prerequisite for guidance.
Guidance can take place in my practice (if feasible), at home, in a hospital or hospice, or in nature.
During this period regular treatment and medication will still be monitored by your own GP or medical specialist in the hospital.
