Indications
At Practice Het Veld , people are treated, not complaints.
In short, you are welcome with all your worries, questions, symptoms, illnesses, and talents.
The starting point is not so much making a diagnosis, but rather the analysis of an individual pattern of symptoms in relation to who you are, your diet, lifestyle, social factors, trauma, and the like.
You might recognize yourself in the following:
Have you been feeling tired for ages without knowing why?
Do you feel uncomfortable in your own skin and would you like to change that?
Have you had symptoms for a long time for which you have visited various specialists without a satisfactory result?
Do you need a more causal approach instead of just treating the symptoms?
Do you have the feeling that your child is not functioning optimally, both physically and mentally, for example, visible in lagging school performance?
Do your symptoms fall within the group of unexplained symptoms, also known as SOLK?
Did you recently receive the message 'just learn to live with it'?
Are you suffering from medication side effects and are you looking for ways to optimize your health so that medication can be tapered off responsibly?
Or.., do you feel reasonably healthy and do you need tips to keep it that way?
Stressful factors
When discussing the development of chronic complaints, I often use the example of the body as a rain barrel. Over the years, stressful factors accumulate in our bodies (read: the rain barrel gets fuller and fuller) without immediately causing symptoms. After all, the body is capable of compensating for a great deal.

Stressful factors include, for example, chronic stress, existential issues, emotional trauma, latent infections, inadequate nutrition, unknown food intolerances, environmental toxins such as particulate matter and pesticides, etc.
When stressors accumulate, the total burden can become so great that the body can no longer cope; in other words, the barrel overflows and symptoms arise. The cause of these symptoms is then not the final straw that made the barrel overflow, but rather the underlying stressful factors that caused the barrel to be filled to the brim from the start.
During the consultations at Het Veld, we map out these stressful factors together, and you receive tips and advice on how to unburden the body, but also on how to strengthen it to cope with specific stresses (such as support with necessary medication use or (currently unavoidable) stress).
Supplement to the
regular care
During an intake, we choose together which approach suits you best. Usually, we get to work together; sometimes, in consultation, you will be referred to a suitable practitioner within my network.
In other words, we strive for appropriate, tailored care. Consider the following:
- Concrete lifestyle advice
- Individual nutritional advice
- Dietary supplements (orthomolecular medicine)
- Gut optimization
- Microbiome analysis
- Psycho-emotional counseling or interventions
- Guidance on questions of meaning
The treatment serves as a supplement to the care provided by your own general practitioner or medical specialist, and certainly not as a replacement for it. Every effort is made to collaborate and exchange information with your general practitioner or treating specialist.
